Verification of Identity
Consulate staff can complete the DFAT Identity Certificate for ID verification. We cannot complete any other verification of identity form (i.e. Westpac form). Please contact the receiving Australian authority and ask them if they will accept the DFAT Identity Certificate before requesting an appointment. If this does not meet their requirements, then ask the receiving authority if they will accept verification from an alternate source (e.g. having their form completed by an alternate provider e.g. a Swiss notary public).
Is an Appointment Required?
As we will be verifying your ID, you are required to present in person, at an appointment. Please see the notarial appointment information at the top of this page.
